Museum Discourse examines the museum as both a site of authority and a site of disruption, positioning the institution as a place where cultural narratives and climate anxieties collide. Inspired by recent climate protests in museums—where activists glue their hands to walls or target artworks to demand attention—the series asks what responsibility museums have in these moments.
Through layered matte medium, acrylic, gouache, and pencil, the works take up questions about how museums present information, where their funding comes from, and how these choices shape public trust. By unsettling the familiar vitrine form, Museum Discourse asks how museums can respond to urgent environmental issues in ways that feel accountable, relevant, and engaged with the communities they serve.
